After Austria, we drove around 150 miles from Vienna to Budapest as our final destination. For me, Budapest was very interesting, it had its own unique vibes that made it different from many European cities. I noticed it wasn’t tooo packed with tourists, and English was rarely ever spoken or used by anyone which made it tough to navigate. Fortunately, our apartment was right by the Danube River so we spent the first day on a touristy boat tour to get to know the city. The Hungarian Parliament was a sight to see, not overrated at all, which I personally thought it would be. Then we spent the following days doing some shopping and exploring the city very casually. One night we landed such a cool Iranian restaurant that served purely authentic Iranian dishes that were just heavenly (forgot to take photos, unfortunately!). Since we were only spending a few nights, we really wanted to maximize our experience so we decided to drive all the way to Kékes (secretly praying for better weather… Budapest was crazy hot). It holds the highest point in Hungary and is filled with forests with sights overlooking beautiful landscapes. Interestingly, there was a park (Oxygen Adrenalin Park) with all the fun activities that the entire family could join in. It was so fun that we actually went back the following day! It was so worth it, the weather was definitely better and everyone had a good time.
Enjoy the photos! (They are in no particular order)

Time to go back 🙁
